Madeline BrockMark EdwardsIt's time for our FREE annual open house! Join us from 7:00 to 9:45 for a festive event with plenty of dance teaching for newcomers. Invite your family, friends, and co-workers to come and discover the joy of folk music and dance. Madeline Brock will DJ this delightful evening. Madeline will be assisted by Mark Edwards. Throughout the evening various teachers will be leading walk-throughs, so everyone can feel comfortable getting on the dance floor.

Slavadillo September 29: An evening with Slavadillo!!!
Enjoy an evening of boisterous live music from our resident folk quartet, Slavadillo! We’ll be treated to the instrumental and vocal stylings of Anne Alexander, Don Weeda, Kathleen McDonagh, and Mike Revesz.

Cake October 13: October Birthdays and Anniversaries!!!
Do you or a fellow dancer have a birthday or anniversary in October? Come to folk dancing on this auspicious and totally non-ominous night to celebrate with song, dance, and cake!

La Strada October 27: Halloween alla Strada!!!
Join us for a thunderous Halloween party at AIFD, featuring live music by La Strada! Don your costumes of Halloweens past and present, bring some sweet treats for the kids, and enjoy a night of freaky tunes from Dee, Jeff, and company.

Fri-Sat, Sep 29-30: 85th Austin Mediterranean Festival!!!
The Austin Mediterranean Festival is one of the oldest and most popular food festivals in Austin: an Austin tradition for more than 80 years! The 85th Mediterranean Festival will be held on Friday, September 29th, 6 pm to 11 pm and Saturday, September 30th, noon to 11 pm. Join us again this year for an even greater fun filled weekend!
