This Friday at dancing: Halloween with La Strada!! Madeline DJs, Lila and Denise assist. |
Join us for a thunderous Halloween party at AIFD, featuring live music by La Strada! Don your costumes of Halloweens past and present, bring some sweet treats for the kids, and enjoy a night of freaky tunes from Dee, Mark, Jeff, Holly, Genevieve and company. Madeline Brock will be our DJ. She will be assisted by Lila Luce and Denise Fynmore. |
Teaching: As needed, Madeline will conduct brief walk-throughs of dances La Strada's performing. |
Friday, October 27, 7-9:45 pm. The admission fee is $5 for those 18 and older. There is no fee for those under 18,
but they must be supervised by a designated person 18 or older.
Hancock Rec Center (HRC)
AIFD is organized exclusively for educational purposes, including the promotion and teaching of traditional folk dance, music and crafts native to a variety of countries.

November 10: No dancing at Hancock. House Party!!!
Hancock Rec Center will be closed in observance of Veterans' Day. Stephanie Anderson has volunteered to have a party at her house that evening. Thank you, Stephanie! Mark your calendar, and details will be included in next weeks newsletter!

November 17: Texas Camp Band & November Birthdays!!!
Enjoy an evening of rollicking live music by the Texas Camp Band! This eclectic group of folk musicians is meeting in Austin to practice for camp, and this will be a special preview of the tunes they'll be performing this year. We'll also celebrate our dancers who have a birthday or anniversary in November with song, dance, and cake.
