Texas Camp Floor Setup Needs You!!!
|
It's that time of year again, the time when we ask for volunteers to come up to Greene Family Camp the weekend before Texas Camp to help assemble TIFD's own custom sprung dance floor. We plan to meet at 1:00 P.M. on the Saturday, November 18th, and Sunday, November 19th, working about 3 hours each day. Rides are available! If you'd like to sign up or need more details, drop an email to Mike Revesz and John Alexander at floor_czars@aifd.cc.
|
Have something you'd like to see in the AIFD newsletter? Do you have an upcoming event you'd like to announce, a poem you'd like to share, a dance experience you think other dancers would enjoy? Feel free to submit it to the AIFD newsletter and we'll see if we can fit it in.

November 10: No dancing at Hancock. House Party!!!
Hancock will be closed for Veterans Day on November 10. Join us instead at Stephanie Anderson’s house in central Austin, 4907 Lynndale Drive, for a potluck dinner beginning at 7:30 pm until 11:30 pm. Musicians are welcome (but not obligated) to bring their instruments. Her place isn’t huge, but we seem to be able to dance in small spaces.

November 17: Texas Camp Band & November Birthdays!!!
Enjoy an evening of rollicking live music by the Texas Camp Band! This eclectic group of folk musicians is meeting in Austin to practice for camp, and this will be a special preview of the tunes they'll be performing this year. We'll also celebrate our dancers who have a birthday or anniversary in November with song, dance, and cake.
