This week at dancing
Franklin DJs, assisted by Rikki and Sarah.
Franklin Sarah Martinez Join us for a fun evening of dancing DJ'd by Franklin Houston and his assistants Rikki Nicolae and Sarah Martinez. You won't want to miss a second week of programming featuring Texas Camp favorites. Franklin will reprise some of the popular dances from Steve Kotansky's visits. Rikki Nicolae(Would you like to learn more about Steve Kotansky? Check out his bio on the East European Folklife Center Website.)
Teaching:
MisiThis week's newcomers' session will be led by Misi Tsurikov and will Hollyfeature more dances to warm us up for Texas Camp. It will include a series of fun Moldvai dances, which are popular in Hungary today. Later, Holly Plotner will teach Daronee, a beautiful Armenian dance with a slow and very fast part. Many of you saw it last week and asked for it to be taught -- so here you go!

Are you CPR/AED certified?
Safety First! The AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is located next to the attendant's desk at Hancock. Even if you are not certified to operate the device, Automated External Defibrillatorjust knowing where it is could save a life. If you are certified to operate the AED please let the Board know. The Board will not keep an official list, but would like to know who to turn to in the event of an emergency. Thanks! (more details here.)

AIFD Crew Action on the Texas Camp Floor. Let’s carpool and see how many people we can mobilize from AIFD to help assemble the floor at Greene Family Camp (Bruceville, TX). We'll be back before dark. For details contact the floor czars, Mike Revesz or John Alexander.

No dancing at Hancock (Hopefully you will be at Texas Camp).

Saturday, December 7th
Candle Light Trail at Hancock - FREE!!! Join us as we help the community celebrate Hancock's annual Candle Light Trail. Beginning at dusk people from Candleall over will converge on Hancock to walk the trails illuminated with candle light and then come inside for hot chocolate and snacks, as well as a chance to visit with Santa. Around 7:30 (when Santa leaves) AIFD will take over with a series of easy dances done to Christmas and Hanukkah music. Later we transition to our regular program.
