This Friday at dancing:
Madeline DJs, Dee assists. November Birthdays and Anniversaries. |
Enjoy a great night of dancing DJ'd by Madeline Brock. Madeline will be assisted by Dee McCandless. Do you or a fellow dancer have a birthday or anniversary in November? Come to folk dancing to celebrate with song, dance, and cake! |
Teaching: Holly Plotner will review a couple of the dances taught by Michael Ginsburg at last weekend's workshop, including Sborenka and Šira. Then she will continue with a walk through of Ciganskoto Djipaj, the twisty Bulgarian club dance with awesome Serbian music. |
Contra: Our Contra this week will be done at 8:15 (just before announcements) and will be called by Elizabeth Stehl. |
Friday, November 9, 7-9:45 pm. Admission fee is $5 for those 18 and older. There is no fee for those under 18,
but they must be supervised by a designated person 18 or older.
Hancock Rec Center (HRC)
AIFD is organized exclusively for educational purposes, including the promotion and teaching of traditional folk dance, music and crafts native to a variety of countries.

Texas Camp Floor Setup Needs You!!!
|
It's that time of year again, the time when we ask for volunteers to come up to Greene Family Camp the weekend before Texas Camp to help assemble TIFD's own custom sprung dance floor. We plan to meet at 1:00 P.M. on the Saturday, November 17th, and Sunday, November 18th, working about 3 hours each day. Rides are available! If you'd like to sign up or need more details, drop an email to Mike Revesz and John Alexander at floor_czars@aifd.cc.

Music provided by LOCO (Local On-Call Orchestra) - an open band, where anyone is welcome to come and play.
