This year Yulian Yordanov will be teaching dances from Bulgaria. If you have not already registered, sorry - registration is closed. For those who have, this camp will be a blast.

(Please note: in support of Texas Camp, there will be no dancing at Hancock Rec Center on the Saturday, November 24th)

Want to get out of town the weekend before camp? Come help setup the great dance floor used at camp. Details here.

This week's "other dance" feature:
HighballThe Highball closes on November 17th. It will reopen in a nearby location in the fall of 2013. But its current incarnation is worth enjoying. Get over there now before it is too late.

If you play folk dance music and are not on our list of Musicians/Musical groups, please send your information to newsletter_editor@aifd.cc

Kabilé success!!

KabileFrom our president: The Kabilé dance concert was a lot of fun and a great success. The AIFD Board sends a big thank you to everyone who helped make the evening possible. We received over $490 in charitable donations and many of you generously helped with setting-up and supporting the event. It is this kind of energy that will sustain AIFD.

One of the AIFD Board’s aims is to bringing you cultural enrichment and engaging dance opportunities. We would like to have more events like Kabile in the future. The cost of hosting Kabilé was a few hundred dollars more than what we brought in. If you would like to contribute to last Saturday's Kabilé performance, it is not too late.

Donating to AIFD is easy:
  • Please make checks out to AIFD
  • Signify (on the check) what the contribution is for
  • Place the check in the kitty on Saturday night
  • Ask our ever cheerful treasurer, Michel Breger to write you a letter for your tax deductible donation. You will make his day!
