This Friday, May 8, 7-9:45, at AIFD: AIFD will not meet at this week as HRC will be closed for annual maintenance.
 AIFD will return May 15, for ELECTIONS and AIFD Appreciation Night - where we will celebrate all the people who help keep us dancing. Misi and Rebecca will teach Marbridge Mixer, Maple Le Rag.

Elections for 2026-7 Board of Directors were originally scheduled for May 8. However, Hancock Recreation Center will be closed for maintenance that day. So elections have been rescheduled for May 15.

 A fond farewell to John Scales.We bid a fond farewell to fellow dancer, John Scales this week. John is one of those individuals who could always be counted on to step forward for the good of AIFD. He has always been helpful when something needed doing, always friendly to newcomers and long-time members alike, and never expecting (nor even wanting) acknowledgement for the countless hours he has devoted to AIFD as a Board member, as part of the music library team responsible for our music every Friday night, working on the technical team to maintain our equipment, and as a programmer and assistant to play the tunes we love to dance to. John was also very active with the Csardas Hungarian Dancers and with the Austin Scandi group. We wish him all the best as he takes the Austin dancing spirit to Salem, Oregon.
