Teaching: Misi Tsurikov will lead the newcomers'MisiFranklin session beginning at 7:30 p.m. as usual. Later in the evening, Franklin Houston will continue teaching Sedi Donka, introduced last week and danced to live music by Korobushka. Franklin will add some interesting variations that you haven't seen yet!

AIFD Elections, May 17th
It is that time of year to elect the AIFD Board of Trustees. This year's elections are scheduled for May 17th at Saturday Night Dancing. If you would like to run for one of the positions, please talk to someone on the current Board or email the AIFD Board at board@aifd.cc.

The Board positions are as follows:

Treasurer

Dance to the lively, international tunes of Fiddlisa and Friends at the 2nd Annual Ney Day festivities at the Elisabet Ney Museum. Before Fiddlisa, an all female "Yes Ma'am Brass Band" will play that also should not be missed.
Sunday, May 4th, International Dance Day.
Celebrate World Dance at Ballet Austin. Ballet Austin will be celebrating world dance by offering a variety of classes through the Butler Community School. Authentic and fun! Come learn something new and dance around the world with them on International Dance Day! For details, schedule, and tickets, check out the International Day website.
