Madeline BrockDee McCandlessEnjoy a lively night of folk dancing DJ'd by Madeline Brock. Madeline will be assisted by Dee McCandless.
FranklinTeaching: Madeline will also lead one of her fabulous newcomers' sessions, starting at 7:30 p.m. as usual. Later that evening, Franklin Houston will teach 2 dances -- Gerakina (from Greece) and Kacerac (from Serbia).
Dance notes. Franklin Houston maintains a list of dance notesNotepad logo for dances taught at Saturday night. This week he added the notes for Sedi Donka, the dance he taught last week.

AIFD Elections, May 17th
It is that time of year to elect the AIFD Board of Trustees. This year's elections are scheduled for May 17th at Saturday Night Dancing. If you would like to run for one of the positions, please talk to someone on the current Board or email the AIFD Board at board@aifd.cc.

The Board positions are as follows:

Treasurer

Friday, May 23rd - Planet Music: Middle Eastern!!!
Head down to the Dougherty Arts Center from 7-9 on Friday, May 23rd, to enjoy some lively Middle Eastern dancing and music at Planet Music's Middle Eastern show. Performing groups will include 1001 Nights Orchestra, Ravaan Persian Dancers, and some familiar faces from the Austin International Folk Dancers. This event is sponsored by the City of Austin Department of Recreation and coordinated by our own Genevieve Kent.
