About SLAVADILLO

Slavadillo Over 25 years ago, Don Weeda (a pianist by training) picked up the accordion for Don Weeda the first time and a love affair was born. He shortly thereafter discovered the world of Eastern European folk music in college and promptly resolved, upon moving to Austin, to try to learn as many tunes as he could. This turned out to be not only a lifelong quest, but so much fun that a number of friends through the years have tagged along for all or part of this musical odyssey. Though the personnel have varied throughout the years, the fundamental joy and energy that is Slavadillo has never waned. Currently Don is joined by Anne Alexander, Kathleen McDonagh, and Mike Revesz. Sonia Seeman also regularly performs with the group.

Current Members:
Don Weeda
- accordion, occasional saz and percussion
Anne Alexander - vocals, tapan, doumbek, zils, saz, occasional riqq
Kathleen McDonagh - vocals, percussion
Mike Revesz - vocals, tapan, doumbek
