Summer Solstice Party.
Enjoy a fun and lively evening of All Request folk dancing this Friday as we celebrate the Summer Solstice. Madeline BrockDenise FynmoreClothes the colors of the sun (yellow, orange, red or gold) are suggested, or clothes with flowers on them, or flowers in your hair, or dress as the sun! Costumes are always optional, so come, enjoy, and dance!! Madeline Brock will DJ, assisted by Denise Fynmore.

Lisa DielmanTeaching: Lisa Dielman and Madeline Brock will each teach a few beginner dances and and review some previously taught dances.

Friday, June 21, 7-9:45 pm.
Admission fee is $5 for those 18 and older.

There is no fee for those under 18,
but they must be supervised by a designated person 18 or older.

Do you or a fellow dancer have a birthday or anniversary in July? Come to folk dancing to celebrate with song, dance, and cake!


HOT SUMMER AHEAD!
Tips for dancers.
  • Wear comfortable, casual, clean, fresh attire for general folk dancing.
  • Wear soft-soled, non-marking shoes.
  • Take a shower and brush your teeth.
  • Use a deodorant but avoid using strong perfumes or colognes.Sweaty woman
  • Don't wear sharp jewelry, particularly rings.
  • Keep jewelry to a minimum to avoid getting it caught in someone's clothing or hair.
  • Keep your hands clean. If they get sweaty during dancing, or you’ve been eating snacks, go wash them.
  • If you perspire heavily during dancing, bring extra shirts and change them often.
