Red, White, and Blue For You Party!!!!

Watermelon Celebrate the 4th of July again on the 6th at AIFD’s "Red, White and Blue for You" party. We’ll kick things off promptly at 7:30 and do plenty of American dances; we'll also feature live music performed by a new "All-American" band formed especially for the occasion. You'll be able to dance to everything they play! AIFD will provide watermelon. Please bring snacks.

Misi Misi Tsurikov will DJ this fun evening, Lane and Norris Harrell assisted by Norris and Lane Foster Harrell.

Saturday night’s live music will be performed by the newly formed Americana band – THE HOT DIGGITY DOGS. They will be playing American folk dance tunes that everyone can dance to – Waltz, Contra, Schottische, One-step, Two-step, etc. The contra will be called by none other than the incredible Kathleen McDonagh.

There will be quick walkthroughs of dances throughout the evening. Come early so that you don't miss Franklin Houston's walkthrough of the one-step!

AIFD Membership Meeting
Insurance coverage is required for AIFD to use Hancock Recreation Center. Our insurance carrier has asked for an active member list in order to continue coverage and will base the insurance premium in large part on the number of active members. Therefore, the AIFD Board is proposing to establish an active member list consisting of people who have paid an annual membership fee (estimated not to exceed $ 10) that will help cover the insurance premium. The Board will be scheduling a meeting at Saturday night dancing within the next month to discuss this proposal. In the meantime, the Board invites comments and questions to be sent to membership@aifd.cc.
