A great way to kick off the year is with a quick review of Richard Power's tips on how to properly conduct yourself in a social dance setting. It is a fun and informative read that applies to all dance venues. Richard expands on 4 basic tips (slightly reworded here):
Don't be rough with your partner;
Don't correct your partner;
Don't use the dance floor to pick up someone;
Have good hygene.
(Richard Powers is the social dance instructor at Stanford University.
For those who were at Texas Camp, he was the mentor and inspiration for Campell Miller. Enjoy.)

New dance hall at Pioneer Farms.
Do you know about Pioneer Farms in northeast Austin? They have been bringing in and restoring old buildings to create a typical central Texas village from the 1800s. This past year, they restored an old dance hall. It is a great venue for regular dances or special events. Pioneer Farms. Thanks Jon Durbin.
