What a week! Thanks for not yelling at us for canceling last week’s AIFD sponsored Zoom dancing!

We (Austin IFDers) do hope you are recovering from this past week. If we can help, call or text or email a fellow dancer, or email me, Craig Roberts, and I’ll see if we can’t get some help for you. A phone call, a water delivery or some help recovering from housing disruption from the cold and pipe breakage. Email Craig - president@aifd.cc - or reach out to a fellow dancer.

San Antonion Spring Festival

World Spring Camp
March 18-21, 2021

A convergence of World Camp (founded by Ahmet Luleci & Joe Graziosi) and Spring Festival (produced by John and Galia Kuo), WSC will feature 11 dance teachers & 11 bands from North America and Europe, singing & music classes and live music parties. AIFD board would like to give a huge shout out to our own Misi Tsurikov for helping put on the Spring Festival and Holly Plotner for the World Spring Camp! It goes to show how much they love folkdancing and bringing it to more than just AIFD members. The board encourages our members and attendees to join the upcoming March festivals!

Austin at Stage 4

Stage 4We plan to resume dancing at Hancock Rec Center on Fridays, 7 pm to closing, when Austin PARD allows gatherings that will fit our population of attendees in number and safety precautions.

However, Austin is currently in Stage 4 (down from stage 5 on Feb 9): MASKS!!!; practice good hygiene; avoid gatherings of more than 10 people; business limited to 25-50%; stay home if sick; avoid others who are sick; avoid non-essential travel.
