Candle Light Trail!!! Holly DJs, Kathleen assists. |
Join AIFD for a FREE evening of dancing at this year's Candle Light Trail. Candle Light Trail is when Parks and Recreation lines the trails of the golf course and the area around the rec center with thousands of candles. People walk
the trails then come inside for snacks and drinks, and a visit with Santa. The evening is also an opportunity for us to introduce new folks to the fun of folk dancing. The evening will be free, and will also include a performance by the local Hungarian performing group Csardas. Our DJ will by Holly Plotner. Holly will be assisted by Kathleen McDonagh. Holly's program will highlight dances learned at last weekend's Texas Camp. During the evening several AIFD members will conduct walk-throughs. |

Blow, blow, thou winter wind
- William Shakespeare.
Blow, blow, thou winter wind
Thou art not so unkind
As man's ingratitude;
Thy tooth is not so keen,
Because thou art not seen,
Although thy breath be rude.
Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most freindship if feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then heigh-ho, the holly!
This life is most jolly.
Freeze, freeze thou bitter sky,
That does not bite so nigh
As benefits forgot:
Though thou the waters warp,
Thy sting is not so sharp
As a friend remembered not.
Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then heigh-ho, the holly!
This life is most jolly.
