Another great Texas Camp
- Misi Tsurikov

"Texas Camp 2012 roared through Bruceville last week, with much dance, song, mischief, and camaraderie. This year featured enjoyable dances "mostly from Texas CampBulgaria" taught by the lively and energeticYuliyan Yordanov. (Many of these dances will be taught at AIFD in the next few weeks -- watch for them!) This was also the first Camp where we danced in the gymnasium of the new sports center at Greene Family Camp. Although there were a few hiccups in adjusting to the new space, in the end it seemed to work remarkably well. The approximately 100 attendees were also treated to excellent food by the GFC kitchen staff, the usual complement of great evening dance parties, two "rewind sessions" (Postie's Jig and Mairi's Wedding led by Lisa Smith, and several English country dances led by John Bloom), the ever-popular Bruceville Roadhouse, group sing-alongs, and a heartwarming culture session by Yuliyan. The excellent weather and gorgeous autumn countryside topped off the fabulous weekend."
