December 18thChristmas Holly will be AIFD's last meeting at HRC for 2015. See below for a special AIFD event on January 1st. We will be back at Hancock on January 8th. AIFD wishes everyone a Merry and Safe Christmas.

Julfest!!!
Mike ReveszJoin AIFD for a wintry Scandinavian celebration of the holidays! For this special event we will have extended hours: 7pm to 10:45. Get ready to twirl, Dee McCandlessspin and hop to elegant dances from our Fall Into Scandi teaching. We’ll also feature a jolly suite of international favorites to keep your feet warm. Live music will be provided by Austin Scandi, Women Singing, Tre Jenter, and the Texas Camp Band! Mike Revesz will DJ this lively evening, assisted by Dee McCandless. Please feel free to bring some food to share at our smorgasbord table. This will be AIFD's final event for 2015 as HRC will be closed on December 25th and January 1st.

January 1st: Michel Breger's House!!!
Please plan to join us at Michel Breger's house on New Year's Day from 4-8pm to inaugurate his new wooden Michel_BregerLa Stradafloor. Live music will be provided by the lively and talented La Strada. Michel's traditional lentil soup (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) will be provided. You are invited to bring some finger food or just yourself. For more details, including directions, check out the Michel's flier.

January 8th: January Birthday & Anniversary Celebration!!
CakeDo you have a January birthday or anniversary? Do you know a fellow folk dancer who does? Come to folk dancing to be serenaded and enjoy some delicious cake!

Saturday, December 19th: Csardas at Trail of Lights.
Lights, Petticoats, Boot Slapping Action! Csárdás Hungarian Dancers will perform at the Zilker Park Trail of Lights on Saturday, Dec.19 at 8:00pm. Admission to the Zilker Trail of Lights is $3.00, free for kids 11 and younger. Advance tickets and more Trail of Lights information available at trailoflights.org.

Saturday, December 19th: Saturnalia, with 1001 Nights Orchestra.
Center for Inquiry - Austin presents Saturnalia, 1001 Nights Orchestraa winter solstice celebration! Before being hijacked by Christians for their celebration of Christmas, Saturnalia was a winter solstice celebration held by the Romans in honour of their deity Saturn. Trinity UMC, 6-11pm. Sunday, December 20th: Wassail Austin.
Wassail 2015Please join us our 13th Solstice Christmas celebration. Expect a feast of seasonal entertainment from our troupe of intrepid actors, magicians, dancers, musicians and poets. The big show happens at 5:30 pm, with a 40 minute kids show at 2:30 pm. Scottish Rite Theater. This year's event will benefit the kids in the Darfur region of the Sudan - via the Kids for Kids charity.
