The Generations of Folk Dancing - Contributed by Dena Houston, July 27, 2019. At dancing last Friday, Franklin (the DJ) announced Tropnalo Oro, a dance taught in 1966 by Atanas Kolarovski. At the end of the dance, Dena (wife of said DJ) asked the group, “Who learned this dance from Atanas in 1966?” Only she and Franklin raised their hands. Anne Alexander (long-time dancer) said (with a bemused look) “I wasn’t even born then!”
