Bora Özkök
This week's link of the week is a tribute to Bora Özkök, who passed away on August 8. Bora was the first person to introduce Turkish dance, music and folklore to North American folk dancers in the 1970s and 1980s. Among the dances he taught us are: Ali Paşa, Kendime, İçê Hendek, Bariş Halay, Çepikli, Delile, Gün Ola and many others (verbiage from a FB post by Yves Moreau).
