MisiTeaching: We continue Summer School - By Popular Demand! Beginning at 7:30 p.m., Misi Tsurikov will continue leading us through our top 100 favorite dances. Later, Misi will share a couple of fun dances taught by John and Aylwen Gardiner-Garden at IFCC's Regency dance workshop last weekend

CakeChill out at the height of summer as we take to high and mighty latitudes, exploring the dances from our planet’s polar regions! We’ll also be celebrating August birthdays and anniversaries. Do you or a fellow folk dancer have a birthday or anniversary in August? Come out and enjoy some cake!

Wednesdays: Scandinavian Music Jams!!
The Austin Scandi Folk Music & Dance community holds FREE weekly jam sessions at the back room of Austin Scandi Dancersthe Hancock Rec Center! A themed session runs from 7:30 to about 8:15, followed by a regular jam. All levels welcome! Bring your instrument of choice, or come out and dance to the music! These upcoming events are scheduled:
August 5: Singing, led by Stephanie Anderson
August 12: Open mic performances
August 19: Slow jam for newcomers, led by Holly Plotner
